I have plenty of patients that have done the same thing. Caffeine's stimulatory effects start to wear off after chronic use, while the deleterious side effects continue. Patient is tired, drinks more caffeine to stay awake, finds that it doesn't work as well so increases the dose, repeat and rinse.

I think that certain people, as with any substance, adversely react to caffeine.

Dan G. remember what the economy was like in 2000? 2001 pre 9/11? Bin Laden won, bro. He completely tanked the Western economy because he knew the US would respond with guns blazing and he knew that we were going to enter into a protracted war with a group of people that know nothing BUT war.
